Celebrating UAE Wildlife: A Look Back at "The Secrets of UAE Wildlife" Exhibition
I had the incredible opportunity to showcase my work alongside fellow wildlife photographer, Rémi Vacher, at our first exhibition, The Secrets of UAE Wildlife. Held at the Alliance Française Dubai in collaboration with Emirates Nature-WWF and the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, the exhibition ran from October 17 to October 31, 2024, and was an unforgettable experience.
The exhibition featured some of my favorite images, all taken during my journey exploring the UAE’s rich and diverse wildlife. From the Arabian oryx to the black-tip reef shark, these animals are a constant reminder of the importance of preserving our natural environment. It was truly rewarding to see so many visitors connect with these moments of nature and understand the delicate ecosystems we often take for granted.
The exhibition wasn’t just about art—it was also about action. On October 20, we organized a Conservation Conference. We invited DDCR and Emirates Nature-WWF to share their work and explore ways we can all contribute to protecting local species and ecosystems. Rémi and I then discussed how photography can play a crucial role in raising awareness and supporting wildlife conservation.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, and a special thanks to Alliance Française, Emirates Nature-WWF, and the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve for their invaluable collaboration.
Let’s continue to protect the wildlife of the UAE, one photograph at a time.
